Bethel No. 5 is the local chapter of Job’s Daughters International, serving girls and young women ages 10–20 in Davenport and across the Quad Cities. We provide a supportive community where girls grow into confident leaders through a unique blend of heritage and modern skill-building.
Founded in 1921, our Davenport roots run deep. After a brief pause, we rechartered in 2026 to welcome a new generation of daughters. Today, our members take charge of their own meetings, organize community service, and build lifelong bonds while learning public speaking and civic responsibility within a safe, family-oriented environment.

Bethel No. 5 is more than a place to meet new friends. Girls have real opportunities to lead, plan, serve, speak, create, and have fun—with supportive adults there to guide them along the way.

Girls have opportunities to hold leadership positions, take on responsibilities, and learn how to lead others. Members help run meetings, serve as officers, make decisions, and work together as a team.
🤝 Meet & Connect
Our meetings give girls a chance to spend time with other girls their age in a welcoming environment. They build friendships, work together, and become part of a supportive group where they can be themselves.
🎤 Practice Public Speaking
Girls have opportunities to speak in front of others in a supportive setting. Whether they're leading part of a meeting, giving a presentation, participating in a ceremony, or speaking at a community event, they can build confidence one experience at a time.
💡 Plan Their Own Activities
Girls aren't simply told what to do. They have opportunities to help choose activities, plan events, make decisions, and turn their ideas into reality. Adults provide guidance while girls learn to take ownership.
