Bethel No. 5 is the local chapter of Job’s Daughters International, serving girls and young women ages 10–20 in Davenport and across the Quad Cities. We provide a supportive community where girls grow into confident leaders through a unique blend of heritage and modern skill-building.
Founded in 1921, our Davenport roots run deep. After a brief pause, we rechartered in 2026 to welcome a new generation of daughters. Today, our members take charge of their own meetings, organize community service, and build lifelong bonds while learning public speaking and civic responsibility within a safe, family-oriented environment.
Our Impact
Job’s Daughters provides girls ages 10–20 a supportive foundation to become confident, capable young women. We offer a comprehensive program focused on individual growth:
• **Leadership**: Your daughter will gain confidence by presiding over official meetings and improving her public speaking within our local chapter.
• **Community Service**: Members work together on impactful volunteer initiatives that benefit local families and organizations across the Quad Cities.
• **Philanthropy**: Through the HIKE Fund, our signature charity, girls learn the importance of helping children with hearing needs.

Our lead advisor oversees the Bethel’s activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing space where girls feel empowered to try new things and develop their personal leadership style.
Associate Guardian
Providing a strong male role model and logistical support, this mentor helps the girls navigate teamwork and project management during their various events and ceremonies.
Guardian Council
This dedicated group of adult volunteers handles the administrative and financial oversight, allowing the girls to focus on their growth, creative planning, and sisterhood.
